Ok, so I want to do the Parking lights fog lamp mod but all the instructions I find to do it are for the switch with the straight vertical connector. My 89 has a diffrent connector with diffrent collored wires and wires side by side. Can anyone help me out with this one? Thanks

I installed a relay. I used the parking lamps to energize the relay, and a 12 volt power wire to power it. I'm not sure of the colors of wires or anything, but maybe someone else has a write up of the 89. Good luck!

:D

Just be sure to turn them OFF when you shut the car off.
It doesnt shut off with the ignition.

Kinda bad, but my intention was to save the factory harness from any splicing :thumb:

Now, Is there any other wire that is usable to avoid loseing the rear defogger? I'm in New York where its a must have during the winter, or like now in other words.

I found a 12V power source behind the stereo. It's a yellow wire (possibly for the power antenna i don't have?) with a metal plug on the end. I'm curious though, with NotSoSlowSHO's mod, can you just put the blue wire with the blue tracer into the defroster where you took the black with yellow tracer wire out of the defroster switch? Then you would have to have the headlights on to operate the defroster, but you would still be able to use it... right?
