@802SHO Stated his distaste for how raggedy it looked so don't give him too many ideas lol. I was making fun of him for trying to paint bolts up as we were going
I am sorry I started all this now,

However I do find great humor in this as well. I have seen that same alternator company. They will paint it purple for ya too.

Good thing is you won’t be able to see the alternator really, in the engine bay coolant and catch can hoses cover it, then the intercooler to TB pipe, and from the front the radiator and intakes will bury it. Maybe it’ll be our little secret…secret hoopty parts stashed out of sight lol!

I recall someone once saying weight reduction is racing, and I do believe that alternator is lighter... just stating the facts. :poke: lol

I was drooling at these posts and pics all day! The amount of progress in such a short period of time is amazing, and impressive. I'm extremely excited to see your build racing towards completion. This thing isn't just going to be a work of art, instead more like a masterpiece! @Jordan_R you are good man for showing up for Andrew and helping him get this this buttoned up! I could use a good dose of this kind of collaboration in my life right now. You two wouldn't be available for hire would you? Pretty sure the duo could hammer out the rest of my build in a weekend lol!

Jordan got me BIG progress. Really impressed with his knowledge and work ethic. When Jordan arrived it only had the subframes, rear suspension and front control arms on.

Now it’s got the engine, transmission, accessories like belt, alternator and starter, front suspension, brakes, new air lines, drivrshaft, meth volute injection, turbos, fenders and hood all done. A huge one was the wiring harnesses and getting everything connected and cleaning up the wiring layout. Even the primary o2’s are installed. Made a new bracket for the boost solenoid. The list goes on. Had to buy 1 bolt and 1 sensor….wild all the parts were there in bins, and labeled bags. IMG 1570IMG 1581

On the first day Jordan had been traveling so I figured we could kind of chill a little. We got a private tour of Vermont Sportscar, then we grabbed some dinner with friends. Monday we had maybe 4 hours and some of that was just getting setup and doing kind of like an inventory as well as getting Jordan settled. But we still got the trans in and the engine was prepped for install first thing for the next morning.

Basically Tuesday and Wednesday we worked on the car only taking breaks to eat….we didn’t have too much time so we worked on the car the whole time, if we weren’t we were talking about what to do next. There wasn’t any time to hangout and watch TV so to speak.

It was cool to have Jordan sitting in the driver seat. Wish we could have driven it but it’s still leaps and bounds closer than ever before and the intricate wiring harnesses and mating of the trans-engine as well as the ac delete with shorter belt….his help was priceless.

It's awesome to have someone with knowledge and experience around to help out with such an intricate project. My neighbor and I help out on our rides quite often. He's the muscle lol.

“Just look at it” is the voice that comes to mind when I just look at it lol! Look at that massive intercooler….that’s just the trans cooler. IMG 1592
So after Jordan left I ran into an issue finding that all the straight AN fittings I bought are PTFE and not JIC. So….that’s on hold. In the meantime I removed my rear seat delete panel and disassembled the Airlift manifold and I’m in the process of finalizing that with LevvelAir anodized PTC to 1/4 NPt to -6AN soft braided lines, as well as adding another compressor and have some goodies from Bag Riders to pick up to finish that. So I started on the spare tire delete panel, getting closer, it’ll need some more trimming and I’ll vinyl wrap it.IMG 1590
I’m no longer at the point of mocking things up and moving along. So I’ll completely finish my Airlift and rear seat delete panel and spare tire delete panel. Then move on to the fuel cell and finish the trans lines. Crossing things forever off my list as I go.
