So why are most SHO guys making their rides look like audi?
Hint: the SHO is an affordable version.

I would trade my SHO in for that Audi all day everyday.

I was going to buy an s6 until I joined an s6 owners group on Facebook and majority of the posts are people complaining about their quarterly 3k fix. Definitely performers but also definitely costly
I am talking the 4L TT one not the v10 version for reference.Annual cost maybe. I spent about 1200 annually on my s6 but I didn't go to dealer unless I had to. But they are expensive and that's why I no longer own one. If I was making 150k or higher a year, I'd buy another one in a heartbeat.
That's them, not me.So why are most SHO guys making their rides look like audi?

Got the oil analysis report back from BlackStone Laboratories today. The last sample of my stock motor with Royal Purple XPR 5w30.
Hmm the lead is strange, maybe I didn’t get unleaded race fuel...oops. Other than that, some more metal than last sample results on the far right column from last year. Fuel dilution is better and this was a hot sample...the previous sample was cold and cold samples are said to contain more fuel.
Guess more metal is the price you pay to play.......although it’s comforting that these analysts see no reason to change the oil yet. I really think high quality oils and fuels are the way to go.
What do you guys think? View attachment 17165

So the lead reading makes me think it’s related to excessive bearing wear. I might have used leaded 110 but that was on a different oil change from this sample. I used unleaded 109 not leaded, unless the fuel shack guy gave me the wrong stuff which I don’t even know if they make 109 leaded and I doubt the fuel shack guy would mess it up.
With bearings on the way out you can get high lead readings but usually with copper. And copper wasn’t high so....really strange. I don’t have antifreeze in the sample but isn’t a coolant leak going to coincide with a positive lead reading also? I sent a follow up email to Blackstone, letting them know I don’t think I used leaded race fuel and what else the lead would indicate.
I’ll let Matt Pohnan know what the report said too, that way he can follow up with the lead reading in tearing down the motor, looking for bad bearings...of course he will be looking anyway...but the Im glad I did the sample prior to the teardown. And also to figure out if it was eating coolant even though there’s no antifreeze in the sample.
Matt must be busy as I thought he was going to jump into teardown with mine right away, but when @bpd1151 so kindly made a special trip “just for me” to check...as seen in the photo below...apparently it’s not torn down yet. Lol I think this is Mike’s version of my motor currently being number #1....or something hahahahahaView attachment 17166View attachment 17167
Hahaha. Andrew knows I was just mess'n with him.
We exchanged a few more "playful" texts as well, and I assured him that I poke fun at him, cuz I like him.
He should be more concerned if I hadn't been playful.
Always exciting to more owners utilizing the myriad of talents that Max Power offers.

I did get a kick out of it, and equally was good to get an update on the motor even though it was still as I had shipped it, it was cool to see it there, waiting in the queue.Hahaha. Andrew knows I was just mess'n with him.

Well here I am having a glass of water reading this interesting post and then I get to the #1 picture @bpd1151 sent and spit water on my phone! I'm glad this wasn't a few years ago cuz I wouldn't be able to respond since my phone would be sitting in a bowl of rice.So the lead reading makes me think it’s related to excessive bearing wear. I have not. However, I have seen a lot of his work on other projects (which is partially what sold me on him).Have you used Max Power’s “talents” in the past? Did they build your Charger?

Thank you, I’m going to change it up in the front again. Hopefully it will look even meaner when I’m done with itLooks so menacing from the front!
