I'm not an audio person at all but does anyone know if I can hook up 6x9 Infinity Reference's to the rear deck of the SHO even though the stock JBL speakers are 6x8? Also, would I need a more powerful amp if I were to go with those speakers? Thanks.

I fit the kappas in there.....Takes a lil modding, but they do fit. I also put in just a lil California 50x4 in there to power them. Sounds good so far

The 6x9 speakers should fit if you undermount them. To do this you will need some speed clips and screws. Make sure when you bolt them up into the existing speaker hole that the surround on the speaker doesn't hit the trunk deck or else they will sound distorted.

The best thing to do would be to run an amp to them. I forgot what the RMS value for the Reference's is but I would suggest a Pioneer or other Type A amplifier that puts out that RMS value (give or take a few watts) at 4 ohms per channel.

WOW... Class A amp, that will sure suck some power. They make the best sound but they are the least efficient.

Well the amp that I'm going to add to the speakers are Rock Ford Fosgate 45.2 2 channel. Anyone know anything about this amp?

Depends on what modelyear that amp was produced. Rockford Fosgates are typically a good wellrounded amp though. Should be more than fine for what u need.

Yes class A amps suck a little more power than your average class D mono block, but it is well worth it considering full range speakers are more sensitive to distortion (class A = very little distortion). Glad to see someone knows their audio facts wink

Skip the fosgate amp, go with a pioneer or kenwood.

Edit: I didn't realize you already had the fosgate amp. Look up the specs and as long as the RMS value matches up give or take a few watts it should be fine. Running amp wires in the correct place is very critical when trying to avoid distortion. This will be the most important part of your setup.
