Im about to have nick chrimes do a 60k mile service for me, i was wondering how much, if any performance ill gain. The only parts ive changed are the 02 sensors and the fuel pump and filter. Im also gonna do a decarbon procedure. Thoughts?

I am currently in the process of doing my 60K maintenance (timing belt,CPS,water pump, thermostat, temp.send unit, plugs, wires, new shims, gaskets, 02 sensors (done already), main oil seal, hoses, etc..) as we speak. I have owned my 1995 ATX since brand new and I am a rookie on all of this. Halfway through the job...so far. Trust me, any type of maintenance to your SHO will definitely benefit her and your pocket book in the long run.

Go for the maintenance routine and you'll be glad you did it.
wink Wish me luck along the way.

you should notice that the car runns alot smoother and getts better gas mileage. i also noticed after mine that the car had more consistent power throughout the rpm range.

It's not so much a performance gain as a restoration of the original power than has been lost due to stretched timing belt, overly large plug gaps, leaking spark plug wires, slow oxygen sensors, etc.

That it is.

After sdpatt performed the 60k/100k on my '95 ATX, my engine ran both a lot stronger and a lot tighter. There was a noticeable difference in the before and after (to me, anyways).
