In Mark Nunally's 60k video, what is the intake cleaner fluid he sprayed down the intake runners? Also, what was that "black RTV" gunk that he put on the plug well seals? Were can I get intake spray cleaner, RTV gunk, and vacuum pump(for plug wells) from? Other than that his video was pretty straight forward for me

I don't have his video handy, but I suspect he probably used Berryman's B-12 Chemtool. You can safely use pretty much any carb/choke cleaner, but Berryman's is the favorite of forum members (I think it's the toluene high! eek! )

You can get the Berryman's and RTV (a silcone-based gasket-maker product) and a pump at most major auto parts chains (AutoZone, Pep Boys, NAPA, O'Reilly's, etc.).

Do not put RTV on either the plug well seals or the valve cover seals except in the spots where the OEM silicone is found on the right angles at the camshaft penentrations.

The fluid was intake manifold cleaner found at auto parts stores for as little as $1.50 a can. A word of advise on spraying it into the intake ports: you will severly flood the engine and make the first start very tough if you just hose away into the ports. I use a cleaner saturated shop cloth pushed by a wooden chopstick to clean in the deep areas of the ports to prevent getting a bunch of gunk and solvent in the cylinders.

For the RTV (room temperature vulcanized), I recommend the oxygen sensor safe Permatex Ultra Gray available at most auto parts and discount stores.

For a vacuum pump to clean the oil and cleaner out of the plug wells, I have a hand powered Black & Decker pump. You can also use an electric pump, spray bottle pump head with tube, compressed air and towels (messy) or towels and a stick to push them into the holes. You should clean the interior of the plug wells until there is no material down there that you don't want in the cylinders. Suck out the oil, spray with intake cleaner and suck some more until it is clean down there.
