This topic is just plain voodoo for most people and a nice video guide would be great!

Include parts required as well as tools.

By the way...I got the 60k DVD before I did mine and it was a big help! Made everything much easier!

How about a how to do rod bearings vid. I hear it's not too hard and there's a picture by picture write-up, but some of you guys don't understand that there are people like me that break everything they touch unless someone physically shows them how to do it.

The auction should be ending soon on the 60k, so I'll be sending my payment in. I look forward to watching it.

Myself and Josh T originally did the 60k, Quaife, and Clutch video's years ago (yeah I was young, and skinny, lol).

I don't work for RCM :)

Just curious (not to hijack the thread)...what would be the most helpful how to DVD on the SHO (that's not done already?) Suspension? Brakes? Engine Rebuild?

I'd say a good Engine Rebuild How-To would be great.:thumb:

I like the tweecer vid idea, but I think that would be something more along the lines of what John Scherer, CEO of Video Professor would do.

As far as something you could actually make a video of, I like the auto trans rebuild idea. Tearing an engine apart is not that hard; most people have seen a hundred rebuild videos on Horsepower TV - even though ours is a DOHC, not a pushrod design, most of the basics are still pretty similar: unbolt stuff, take pistons out, use lots of assembly ****. Everybody knows what the inside of an engine looks like.

Now, raise your hand if you can draw/describe the inside of an ATX. OK, now Doug, put your hand down. That's what I thought. I for one have two ATXs and have been looking at rebuilding one. A video of that would be immensely helpful, as - honestly - that ATSG book only makes it so clear.

If you go with a tranny rebuild you could always throw in some tricks like how to improve fluid flow or shift kit install.

Just got this in the mail today and wanted to comment on how great it is! I'm watching it now, and it's so detailed, even my ******* could probably do this on my own. It's a lot less intimidating when watching the video. I like how Mark describes what each part does and advice on removing it. I also like the fact that he mentions bolt sizes since my car has previously been apart and is missing quite a few bolts. This is helpful in knowing the correct replacement size.

This is a MUST for anyone doing a 60k.

You just sold me on this, I'm always winding up with some spare hardware, or I can't figure out which length 8mm goes in which timing cover hole and then oh crap I broke the middle piece, and still can't get the others back right.

Now, I'm not sayin' that you should go clicking links that may or may not link to certain filetypes that one may or may not make an acronym out of the words Pretty Damn Fine with, but if one were to - of their own volition - click on such links that may or may not link to certain things, one may or may not be rewarded with a complete bolt size chart for the engine towards the end, among other things that may or may not be of immense value, and that may or may not have cost me $100 to acquire and taken two weeks to scan and OCR.

Just sayin'. :theyareontome:
