i have a 95 taurus sho atx i just left the shop and i pulled the engine codes it cam up as #511 i was wondering if anyone has had this problem and if so how did you go about fixing that problem it has to do with the computer and i was wondering if someone might have come up with a solution for this i havent figured one out yet except keep replacing the computer everytime i have this issue any suggestions could help thanks

Hmm, thats a hard one. Is your car tuned at all? Have any chips? I get that code, but it is because I have a LPM.

Either (much less likely) your ECU is borked, or (much more likely) you have a chip installed - LPM or otherwise. Drop the glovebox all the way down (the two rubber things it rests on are squeezed inwards until they go past the frame) and look towards the firewall slightly up; you'll see the back of the ECU. Look for... well, a chip sticking out the back of it.

Edit: I believe 511 is for BAD ROM CHECKSUM, which is what happens when you have a chip installed. If there's a chip installed, you will always have this code.
