How do i get this apart? My shifter spins in circles and flops every way it can! I assume this is a normal issue to fix?

Pull the console lid up. Four bolts holding the shifter in place. It will lift right out once those bolts are out.

Except there is a boot in the way. Shifter needs to be dropped from the bottom.

Remove the ****, then go underneath and find the two 13mm nuts at the rear of the rod shifter assembly and remove them. Should be able to pull it down from there. Then there are the 4 10mm (if I remember right) headed bolts that hold the shift handle to the shifter assembly.

Well it was easy to get it out of the car then I took the cup off and the "gate bushing" fell out in pieces not good. Can new parts be purchased or do I need another shifter assembly?

Oh, I have Joses on both my SHOs. Forgot about that rubber boot. I no longer have that.
