welp since Brian had a thread about his mods...

I deided to make my own

here is a list of shit I gotta do/change out

I'll take some pictures of 3.2, car, work in progress etc and add them in here, I hope I can start next weekend!

Welp I have an unknown 3.2, dunno what year

its already setup for a MTX, has 3.0 exhaust manifolds, oil pan etc... u get the idea.... I have one question about this though... does a 3.2 conversion use the 3.0 timing belt setup or is it still utilizing the 3.2 timing belt?

the 3.2 I have the intake mani is cracked along the front plenum, its painted up nicely and has silicone couplers on it so I'm thinking of trying to put my plenum on it for that piece and paint it to match(hopefully it matches)

also have a complete power steering setup I'm going to try to put on the subframe.....

converting some of the bushings I haven't changed yet to TPR

installing new A/C compressor clutch

installing Aluminum subframe bushings

wish I had a catless y pipe to put on this POS.... anyone?

I might go take some pictures tomorrow of the 3.2 and maybe take apart the intake manifold....

Im excited to get this project moving and have some more power

:salute:

3.0 Timing belt and tensioner. The belt has about 2k miles on it, and the tensioner has less than 25k. That engine also has the 3.2 oil pump, and there is a gap by oil pump and timing belt cover that you might want to cover. I didn't bother with it.

I painted the intake manifold with some Duplicolor Ceramic (1200 degree stuff I think) paint. It was the shiniest silver they had.

blow up the motor thats in there first! Some nitrous would be fun.

Also, if you want to paint anything, I have this cool HVLP sprayer Ive been playing with. Its got a gravity feed bottle and really fine tips. Ive been looking for an excuse to run some laquer through it. If your ever in the area on a weekend bring some peices down I can butter them up for you.

Brian got a thread because I made it for him. You need to ask Roy for permission before you post threads like these. He may delete this entirely.

lol roy can suck it!

I'm not gonna blow up this motor, I had one guy interested in buying it to swap into a Capri, turbocharged with a megasquirt system running it... he was talking about using a ranger tranny... good luck with that one!

if nothing else I'd keep it for parts....

take the rotating assembly, and heads... prolly chuck the block

I also got a hook-up on powder coating, theres a shop next to my work that specializes in it.... I was thinking of powdercoating some stuff.. but after seeing that silver spray paint on it... it honestly looks pretty damn good... I'm probably just going to run that

Yeah, I want the brightest and shiniest silver I can get. They are black now, so they will probably need to be primered.

I was just going to sand them down and hit them with that Duplicolor wheel paint.
