3.99 gearing

I've been searching around the forums and trying to find what years the 3.99 final gearing come in thanks

Any new DOHC Taurus from '98 up. Or the '96 Windstar.

Is this something that can go into a gen 2 SHO trans? I thought they were only compatible with the gen 3 transmissions.

Yes it can go in either a AX4S or AX4N. The Windstar tranny is a AX4S.

I had the Windstar gears in one of my trannys and the Duratec ones in another.

You will need programming of the PCM or you will have TC lock issues.
