nope...use your 3.0 harness...as well as everything else. the only thing you're changing is the block and intake cams.

You need switch out from the 3.0 to the 3.2, water pump, timing belt tensioners, oil pan, timing belt covers, top back timing belt plate, exhaust manifolds, main crank pulley and both the motor mount brackets which include the alternator/power steering brackets. You will also need to cut a small portion of the front head for the alternator bracket to fit the 3.2 heads .. you can use you 3.0 heads to avoid this modification.

An addendum: I did skip on a few steps in the write up though. For example, I used the 3.2L oil pump instead of the 3.0L one, but with the 3.0L oil pan. 3.0L fuel injectors instead of 3.2L, and a couple other stuff too. It's been a while now, so I don't remember all the details. I would have to look, but the posted link should cover you for the most part.

wasn't it recommended to use the 3.2 oil pump since it tends to flow better at lower rpms due to the lower idle of an ATX?

The ATX oil pump is a few millimeters thicker, which translates to slightly higher flow at all speeds. Whether or not that matters is debatable (remember, I said slightly)

Keeping it makes your timing covers not line up though. Your call. I kept the ATX pump, since I don't run timing covers anyway.

Or you can do something like I did to fill the gap that the 3.2 oil pump makes with the 3.0 Timing Belt Setup.

I cut as much as I could off of a junk 3.0 pump that I had and extended it with some aluminum:

Here's the finished product installed on the block:

What is the reason to use the 3.0 injectors instead of the 3.2 injectors?
