So I have a nice body 95 ATX with a good running motor.
I'm about to go look at a 93 MTX with a rod knocking motor. (Plan is MTX swap at this point) Guy says the body and interior are in "excellent" condition. If his body is as good as mine would it be easier to just drop in my 3.2 instead of swapping everything over?

i just finished my atx to mtx swap and it took me alot longer than i thought it would ive drivin it only in the lot at work so ive only realy opened up second will be regestering it on monday but imho i think it was well worth it only thing i would sugguest is keeping the 3.2 engine harness and comp. witch i did not do i uses the harness and comp out of my 92

and yes i think it would be easier to drop in the 3.2

Yeah.. well I just went and looked at it. My body's in much better shape (not to say his was in bad shape, just, mine better, plus i like white more than green)

So I'll be picking it up either this weekend or the next. But god knows when I'll actually begin the swap.
How long did it take you start to finish, and how much did it ended up costing you $$$?

it took me about two months but only cause of limmited time during the week and on the weekends.but it only took a weekend to drop both assemblys swap everything and remount sub frames but what i did was durring the week after the subframe swaps i had the 3.2 on a stand and did 60ks and rod bearings the one thing that held me up was useing the harness from the 92 half of the wire that go to the body harness were different colors and had a hard time finding diagrams for it.

if i had to guess how much its costed me with the car id say 2000-2500 but i also had ordered some goodies for it at the same time

if i had the same amount of shop time as i normaly work i think it may have taken a week or two at the most

Yeah I work too many hours during the week, so it would just be a weekend job. I'm excited as ****.

3.2 swap > Mtx swap

No subframe swap, no wire harness swap, no trans swap, no pedal swap, no a/c swap, no problems mang.

I put over 100 hours into the mtx swap that I did, and that was using the 3.0 - if you do the 3.2 and mtx that will add a little to the time requirement. Can it be done in less time than that? yes, depending on how 'factory' you want the result to look.
