I'm going through a 3.0L for an engine swap project, don't know the history of the engine or how many miles on it, but figured I'd at least replace the con rod bearings, both front and rear main seals, clean the oil pickup, and remove the heads and flush the water passages, etc.
I was able to find replacement head gaskets, but not sure if they should be installed dry (I do have new head bolts), or if it's a good idea to spray them with copper spray gasket coating to help them seal - I've used it before rebuilding other engines and haven't had any problems (so far).
