Will the second gen struts fit on my 1st gen? and If so can I put after market springs on stock struts, I'm trying to get less bounce on a budget...and YES I know, this is the wrong car to have a budget with but I'm trying my best
Thanks,
Richie

What springs did you plan on putting on? The bounce is not from your springs being bad it is from bad struts.

Moogs will work with Monroe's and maybe Gabriel, but stay clear of the KYB's.

The car will ride high with Moogs too, you may want to review others experiences with cutting coils to get your ride hight where you want it.

I'm not actually looking to change the height just more stiffness, but if its lower its just a bonus, and also thats why I was looking at the second gen struts that are on the 2nd gen at my local junkyard cause I'm pretty positive my rear are bad

New struts will fix the problem. The 2nd Gen struts will only be of benefit if new or slightly used.

Moog springs will return you to stock and are no stiffer then stock.

Only Intrax or B&G are stiffer: SHO Source

But then I'd have to run koni's right? Their a little out of my price range my springs are new actually I think just new struts will be necessary

As stated some people have run Monroes with Intrax or B&G.

I am just saying junkyard struts probably will not fix your ride.
