dude sold me what was described as a 'damaged, most likely irrepairable' police grill for the cost of shipping. we had been talking back and forth basically waiting for me to come up with the cash to buy it on the originally agreed price (which was still a lot cheaper than what most guys here want/ask/get for a po-po grill.) i was expecting something that was broken in 2-3 places or just pretty much barely recognizable.

what i got was what I would have described as 'fair condition' some chipping and pitting in the paint, and one crack going from the right side of the emblem maybe 3-4 inches into one of the louvers. easily fixable with a little epoxy injection into the crack and some sanding. i could probably just take it outside, lightly sand it, hit it with some black paint and put it on my car.

the bottom tabs and top mounting holes are there and unbroken.

the Shipping was also quick. i think he sent it thursday or friday, including the holiday weekend it was here this morning around noonish.

i would have no problem doing business with him again, thanks to his honesty and quick, well wrapped shipping.

Dude! you rule!

many thanks once again. i really felt the need after opening the box today and seeing the shape that it's actually in to send you some thanks, the last few days have been pretty rough and this cheered me up immensely.

what i didn't mention, was that originally the police grill was being sold as 'not broken' he went to the garage to find it and ship it to me and discovered it had been involved in a tragic camping chair accident, thus receiving the crack. 2manyhobbies, emailed me and told me about the damage instead of just shipping it to me and blaming it on the carrier. that earns awesome points too.
