25mm offset. Can it be done?

Is it possible to mount a 17" rim with a 25mm offset? I have a line on a set of rims with tires. Need to know if this can be done safely without any problems. Thanks,

The 25mm offset will move the tire and wheel so far outward that you could probably only fit a 6" wide wheel with a 195 or 205 section tire on it. Those wheels are not right for the SHO.
