I just put Intrax springs and Tokico struts on my 92 SHO. I'm keeping the stock slicers on.
Since this is a size increase for me I was wondering if anyone could confirm that this size tire will fit without rubbing problems?

You should be good. I think some people have reported having to cut some plastic in the rear, I don't think that's always the case.

you shouldn't have a problem. 225-60's would more than likely rub. I'm going to be running 245/45/17's on my intrax lowered 91.

I run Intrax with 225/55/16 with no rubbing at all, ever. With my 225/60/16 snow tires I experience rubbing only in the front when hitting a serious bump/pothole.

With this set up, how wide and low car you go without problems. Are 225-50-16's too much for the slicers?

225/50/16s will fit the Slicers as well. Some will tell you they are a better size (shorter sidewall=better handling), while others say the 55 series is better (50 series max load rating is lower).

I have 225/50/16s and think they are an excellent size for the SHO. A bit of gearing change too from them.

If you have fender gap phobia then they are not for you through.

What kind of problems with the ABS, CPU, and speedometer did the 225-50-16 cause? How much fender gap is left with them?
In my experience with other cars, 50 series tires are noticiably chopier of a ride then the 60's.
I would like to do a gear ratio change in this car. That would make the cam change and porting the heads mod come alive.
I think that SHONUTs 4.30 would just about be perfect but $3000 for that is difficult to justify.
What is the OD of the 225-50-16? Does anyone know that?

225/50/16s are between 24.0" and 24.5" depending on the particular tire.
