On my third Gen IV SHO - just picked up a 2018 SHO w/PP in Magnetic.

Last two were a 2013 PP in Tuxedo Black (loved the paint), a 2016 with Shadow Black (meh), and now a 2018 in Metallic (love it). All leases.

Love the color. Everything else about the car is the same as my 2016 and 2013, except the 2018 doesn't have the multi-contour seats.

When I got the 2016, I thought they weren't going to make any more after 2016, or maybe 2017, so I vowed to buy it at the end of the lease. However, they kept going until 2019, and I got a great deal on the 2018 as a leftover. X-plan, plus $6500 off.

Better than a 2019 for a few reasons: $6500 off, instead of only $2000 (dealer lot). Has the rear window shade, which when I got my 2013 I thought was frivolous, but turned out, I actually liked using it. Power steering extend/tilt. Both gone for 2019.

Multi-contour seats are gone, for 2018 (or maybe 2017, I can't remember). Not to be missed, as the one time I used them for an aching leg while driving for hours, it didn't do squat. No loss.

A few things "wrong" with the car when I picked it up today. Rear Ford emblem is scratched pretty deep. Driver's door is not aligned at the bottom with the rear door, sticking out about 1/8". I can tell where the rear door seemed to be adjusted (scratches in the paint from the bolt head). Dealer will take care of both issues.

I think I'm going to keep this one ;)

Nice looking color.

I, too bought a 2018 PP with 5 or 6k on it for around a $18k discount from the sticker . Too good to turn down. I'm really enjoying it .

Was thinking of a 19 but not sure why with the depreciation the first buyer absorbs.

I would reverse course and buy a 2010 a couple of years down the road :)

Congrats on the new ride, looks sharp!

I cannot believe they got rid of the power extending/tilting steering wheel. I love that feature. I have the multi-contours seats as well and I do use them. I don't think they are designed to fix a muscle strain though. Primarily it keeps your butt from getting numb on long trips. The magnetic is a great color. Mine is Ruby Red which I like ok. It was discounted so much I couldn't pass it up. Would you believe 17000k off? Enjoy your new ride!

I was looking into that color too, beautiful after ceramic applied. Still debating on it or not. I'm looking at a 16 Shelby GT350 right now too, so it's hard to choose. Not many SHO's around here so I'd have to go to Austin to find one. But I'm with you, if they quit making them I want one to hold on to lol.

For some reason, I saw a lot of 2018 and 2019 SHO's in Metallic around here in New York, in Ford's inventory. Seemed to be a more popular color than basic black used to be.

Do you have the start and stop? I think it is in the 2019s.

Cool. I heard is was going to be in the 2019.

Pretty sure that would prematurely wear out turbos. Oil, no Oil, Oil, no Oil...how many times during a drive?

Yeah I believe it’s standard in the F 150s so I wonder what it does to them. I know most owners are getting a plug in device that shuts it completely off. I wonder if they did any torture testing to the EB platform with the start stop

In a turbo application it just has bad news written all over it, unless Ford developed a keyed on oil pump at all times. Then that creates its own set of problems.....geeezzzzz no thanks.

I completely understand the why the on and off shut down is being incorporated into vehicles. It actually does save fuel, but enough to negate the wear and tear on other hard parts?

6F50/55 are not start stop capable.

The 6f35 and 8f35/57, 6R80 and 10R80 all have a means to maintain line pressure so the transmission can keep 1st gear applied and not slip on take off acceleration.
