Torrie Tuned
Actually, the electric power steering would seem more likely than the alternator since the frequency and amplitude is unrelated to engine speed....

I had a weird squealing at start up a few years ago, it happened immediately after loading a new tune and would happen every single morning for a minute or two and then stop. I sprayed the tensioner pulley with wd 40 and it went away for a couple weeks. Every time it would come back and i'd spray with wd40.
The weird thing is I switched tuners a year later and it's been 2.5 years and I've never had that squeal again since then.
I don't think so because it kept making the noise constantly while driving. It would stop after a mile or two. Weirdest f'n thing.Maybe it was the cold idle rpm. I know i adjusted mine to make noise and rattles go away. Even after AD mounts
I went and ordered a valve today they originally tried to sell me a 70dollar pcv valve but the ones for our cars comes up as a valve with an electrical connector. ours is this just a plain 7 dollar valve.Very interesting. I think that's next on my list. This morning I connected my ChassisEar to each of the wastegates and the ChassisEar did need seem to pick up the noise there, even though I could hear the chirp outside. So I'll check the breather box tomorrow morning. Thank you for the suggestion. I wish mine would make the noise at idle like the Volvo, that would sure make it easier to diagnose the source.

You mention you also have a 2013 MKS. If you get a chance, would you see what model ABS HCU your car has? Mine is stamped DG13-2C405-AF, but according to most of the fitment guides, this should be on a Taurus, not an MKS. The MKS-compatible part seems to be DG13-2C405-AD. I don't see marks on the brake line fittings to suggest the HCU has ever been replaced so I assume I would want to replace it with another -AF.haha yup that's the sound
Great info, I appreciate the help. If/when I replace the HCU I'll let you know if that solves the noise or not. My ChassisEar sure suggests that the noise is coming from the HCU. I located 4 microphones in the immediate area of the HCU and still the loudest sound came from the microphone mounted directly on one of the lines from the master cylinder to the HCU. Also, using my scan tool, I independently activated the isolation valves of the ABS system and activating the LF isolation valve made a similar, but much less audible, noise. When activating the other isolation valves I would hear a click, but now chirping sound. So I really think I'm on the correct path. However, I've thought that before too.also AF not AD
My brake fluid was as a nice orange color not sure what color it's supposed to be from ford but clear/yellow and dirty black is all I've ever seen on any car. so I flushed it with volvo dot 5.... haven't heard the noise at all since ... here's hoping
