So last weekend my wife decided to back the car into the drive way after a hefty shopping trip. My apron hasn't been cut out of the curb yet, so its about a 5 inch step up into the driveway. So instead of coming in at and angle she lines it up perfect and proceeds to back in. Only problem was this snagged the exhaust pipes in front of the flexs and shoved the rear cat into the oil pan cracking it slighly. The exhaust being hot was probably my only saving grace that prevented any more damage. The front cat seems to be on the correct place, but its intermediate pipe has been pushed over to the roll restrictor from the totally bent and crimped rear cat and intermediate pipe. I was able to push the cat about an inch from the oil pan today and drained the remaining oil out. I cleaned it up and was able to get some JB weld on this small crack in the oil pan. What happened to the old days where an oil pan was just under the engine with a hand full of bolt securing it? Now this unit has three sealing surfaces and requires the trans to be loosend and pulled back? Im hoping the JB weld holds as im not looking forward to replacing that oil pan. Looks like im down a rear cat and intermediate pipe at a minimum.
