2014 SHO trunk lid rust issue

I have a 2014 SHO with around 109k miles. Bought it with 73k. Only Issue I have noticed is rust starting on the trunk deck lid by the center drain hole. Anyone else had this issue and what did you do to fix? I live in MN so the issue will only get worse. Seems like every junkyard trunk I have found has the same problem.

If not repaired or replaced, best bet is to get the rust off then fluid film it regularly.

SHOdded...great reminder..thanks! I put Fluid Film under my SHO when it was new. I never even thought of spraying inside the trunk lid. But, I will.

A bit off topic.......I pulled all 4 door panels off the Excursion a few years ago and sprayed with Fluid Film..
