Hey Guys,

New to the forum. Considering purchasing a SHO. I really want an Audi S6/8, but I don't quite have the 50K for a used car right now :bonk:I see on the Livernois website that their tuning packages are different from 2010-2012 vs. 2013+ What changed between 12 and 13. Anything I should be on the lookout for?

Thanks,
Sean

The pcm for the 2013+ are different. Also the 2 4in LCD screens in the dash that replace the tach, odometer and fuel/ coolant temp gauges. The performance package for 2013+ comes with a larger radiator, ptu cooler, engine oil cooler and aux transmission cooler and a higher 3.16 axle ratio. Powertrain is the same from the engine, trans, ptu to the rear diff.

significant differences to the interior and SYNC systems also, so most everyone thinks the 13+ are much more desirable.

Much improved brakes on the 2013+ and they also improved the insulation package making the 2013+ quieter. Some people have complained about MyFord Touch in the 2013+ models but with the latest updates (easily installed), it works well.

The best 3 bar tune for the 2013+ models seems to be just as strong and desirable as the 4+X tune that many of us have on the earlier models.

Once I realized it was time to sell my Marauder and update myself. I decided on a 13' It was in the range I could afford and still find a low mile one. I liked the idea of the updated brakes, plus the performance pack goodies. Mytouch is cool but I like the previous version of sync better even though it has a smaller screen. My wife's 2011 Escape has it and I really like that it plays DVD's and has the 10gig jukebox for music. I wish Ford hadn't cheaped out and put a DVD drive in my 13'. Also I do miss having an analog tachometer. The digital one works but it lags a bit. But with those gripes aside I absolutely love the car and glad I went for a 13'

A M E N on the analog tach!!

FWIW - I'm very glad with my '14 PP. I would do it over again given the chance.

Thanks for the insight guys! So I'm pretty set on looking for a 2013+ now the question is PP or no PP. I'm pretty stoked to get one. I already have some Titanium DP and full exhaust Ideas for it!

I am also new to the forum and was looking at a A8/S8/S6. I own a 04 A6 4.2 and love the car but repair costs are outrageous. Small basic repairs seem to cost over $1,000 and parts are very costly, like over $100 for new wipers plus the FSI engine has issues with carbon build up. I just bought a 12 SHO and am very happy with it. The dealer had a low mileage 13 with 28k CPO (forgot the options on it), that I think they want to move since they had it since July.

I came from an Audi also - 2009 A4. Almost 300 HP and sporty, but once out of warranty I was done! I was also done paying $100+ for an oil change!! very happy with my '14 SHO PP !!!

Thanks Guys! Can anyone post a pic of what the dealer tag looks like with the PP option? I went and looked at a 14' today and it had the 410A package but I didn't see the PP listed.

Here's mine... It had a Canadian window sticker.

Someone posted this somewhere else, it helped me out tremendously when I was looking for mine. Open a Web browser and post the following link:

fordlabels.webview.biz/webviewhybrid/WindowSticker.aspx?vin=

***NOTE*** After the "="sign put the Vin number you want to search. This will bring up a"Web View" of the manufacturers window sticker. Apparently, this works with all Ford's 2007 and up.

Your sticker is identical to mine other than the dealer and base price. My base price is $40,105. I bought mine early, July 31, 2014. Maybe there was a price bump since then.

Not really sure I got a 8300.00 dollar rebate plus A plan plus another 750.00 loyalty bonus so it worked out pretty good

I had a choice of PP or non PP and I took the Non PP. I honestly don't see the need for the better cooling system and other stuff. I will never use my car on a track or purposely go looking for a race. I live out out the city and my car is just right. Plus I do like having a spare tire with me, even though its one of those doughnut ones.
