I've been searching and can't find where to buy a fcim for my 2013 SHO. Climate control is randomly turning off and I'd like to get this fixed before the really hot weather gets here.
Thanks, but they only offer to repair the one I have. I don't have the time, nor the desire, to have my entire dash disassembled for 30-45 days.Call them if one isn't listed.

I haven't taken it apart. What is the part number on the tag on the FCIM? Or post a picture.
Thanks for the kind offer. This car certainly has a mind of its own. Drove it around today and everything worked fine. As the battery is approaching three years of age I might try and replace it first. Thanks again. On my MKS I had the situation where the fan speed would increase on it's own. Like you, for the time I've owned the car, I had used the Auto setting. But I took the FCIM out (not a bad task) and confirmed that the capacitive switch IC was bad. I attempted to source a replacement IC to no avail, so I did end up buying a used but working FCIM to replace mine. I saved the old one in the hopes that if my replacement FCIM failed again I'd be able to pull good ICs from it and swap them over. I still have that old FCIM with several good ICs. I'd be happy to try swapping out the offending IC for you, or sending you one of the good ICs for you to swap out if you're comfortable with a soldering iron and SMT components.

As the weather gets colder, this stupid thing has decided to go loco again. I'm seeing EG1Z18842EA as the replacement part but can't find one anywhere other than used ones on Ebay. Tasca, et al., say discontinued and I really don't want a used one that may or may not work. I can't afford to have the car disassembled for weeks while I send out the stock one for repair. Does anyone have a source to find a new one?

smart move have that repair place fix a good one, and move onto replace yours. yeah tb fair - they "big manuf" all are sucking these days. its a rush to engineer the perfect failure so people get frustrated and get a new one. we are moving quickly to the disposable society that will only ever lease everything & anything... good luck.Thanks. I think my strategy for now is going to be to order a used one that is cosmetically nice and send it for repair so that I'm not removing/installing everything twice. And just to vent, between my daughter's Fusion having the coolant leak between cylinders 2/3 and the ongoing BS with my SHO, I think I will never purchase another Ford product again. ****, even my "bullet proof" F150 has too many issues. WTF, Ford? Can you build anything worth a damn anymore?
