Yes, I do have the ACC, but I think now I would trade it for the Performance Package. But you couldn't order the 402 package and get the PP in 2010. However, let me say I do really like the ACC, so I'm not upset at all that I have it. But I'd love the SHO either way...with or without the PP, and with or without ACC.

I hear you. I'm having to do without the PP! ... not available to we Canadians. God knows why? I'm guessing that Ford of Canada wanted to put all the toys on our cars and had to sacrifice that option in adding them all.

I think I'll be almost as happy with my car but I sure would have like the steeper rear end and better brakes and would have sacrificed other things if necessary for them (like you had to).....
Oh well - we can't have everything, as much as we want it.:)

BTW. car will be in my hands sometime next week provided it has an uneventful trip from Chi-Town to Kennedy Ford in Oakville, Ontario. (my dealer) -- thought you'd like to know. This coming Monday is exactly 3 months since ordered. :nut:

More soon.....and thanks for keeping me up on the grill interference thing with I/Cruise.....:) I'll do same.

Colin, hope you let us know ASAP when you get your car. I know how tough it is to wait. Good luck, hopefully it will show a day or two early, you deserve the surprise.

I really love the SHO, and mine is exactly like I wanted it. Would have been nice to have the lower gear ratio, but then I would have been even more tempted to keep putting my right foot down. And I really am not at all disappointed with the car (other then how darn tough it is to get to the side marker lights to replace them.):banghd:

I'll have a look at mine when she comes in and see if I can pitch in too. :)

Thanks for the well wishes......I'm planning the $$$ on the car for next week but I doubt that it'll be much b4 next Wednesday/Thursday b4 it's ready.
I'll settle for that.....Heck it's been 3 months now so a day or 2 either way won't matter much. The weather is nice now so better for driving my new car.

I'll certainly keep you up on its status.

Does anyone know when the 2012 Taraus's will be out? I am thinking of buying an 11 but might just wait til the 12 comes out.

I ordered my '11 (from the factory) Dec. 20th.!!! and have yet to take delivery for one reason or another.

Were I to shop for a '12 now, I'd wait for them to show at the dealers and buy from there since they have access to others in the area fairly quickly and indeed across the country by trading (would take a little longer of course).

Apparently mine is stuck at the Ford compound in Chicago awaiting shipping via rail -- and has been since March 21st.

So I'm understandably not very happy with factory orders at the moment. I've never had to wait this long when usually F/Orders show within 6-8 weeks or less.

Unless you can find an '11 in stock, If I were you I'd wait a few more months in favour of the newer SHO. JMHO

Good luck with your search. They tell me it's a really great car but I'm getting a little :sleepy: waiting.

http://www.shoforum.com/showthread.php?t=116132 this is because the AWD rear clutch/diff pack is made by a Japanese supplier (JTCO or soemthing like that?).

Also, I know that the 2012 Focus with sat nav is being delayed right now because the nav unit is coming from Japan too. Maybe the nav unit in D cars come from the same supplier too?

Thanks for posting Typhoon ----I hadn't heard that and I'm assuming that my dealer hadn't either.....

I don't feel any different about this damned order but at least I know something about the delay.
I'm going to hate losing the factory incentives if I don't get this car but there is a point at which I won't accept a car that is almost one year old. It just wouldn't be prudent (for me).

I'm hoping that it comes in the next couple weeks.

Well, the rumor I've heard is that the tune on the 2012 gets about 40 more BHP without any upgrades to the hardware. This could be very GOOD for us because WE can get this tune too. As for the brakes, why does it matter that the new 2012 has a great braking system when EBC makes sport rotors and redstuff pads for the 2010/2011 already??

May be more to it than just the tune for the 400 hp rating, but no reliable info out yet, and hopefully has the upgraded calipers from the police model. Would be nice if it had the variable intake and exhaust valve timing as in the ecoboost in the F150. Suspension may also be upgraded on the SHO according to spy info, as pic's show it sits lower. Prices are said to remain the same as 2011 models.

Doesn't that F150 engine have about 400 ft. lbs of torque?
I like the sounds of that too. :)

I was able to warp the rotors and melt Yellowstuff Track compound pads already.

Correction:

Also, I know that the 2012 Focus with sat nav is being delayed right now because they are apparently having issues installing/updating the SYNC software on some NAV equipped cars.

I was misinformed before. Sorry for any confusion.

Two words: factory warranty

fixed:

It's rated at 420ft-lbs because it has a trans that can back it up.
