Talked to my dealer just a short while ago and they just received the invoice for my car today. They are still waiting to get a delivery date but they say it should be showing up by the end of the month.

Dealer is going to bat for me today with FMCC higher ups.

My car came with a note
"This vehicle was selected at random for road testing following assembly. The odometer reading includes 75.3 miles registered during this evaluation"
So someone took it home for a night out at my expense..........:munch:

The car is fantastic and the adaptive cruise has just become my favorite thing I have ever had.

worst part of it because the SHO the way I wanted it is so hard to get I took the car.

Who ever went for the joy ride or had it before me must have run it down some dirt roads then ran it through a car wash. I have to clear coat restore the finish. It was not the dealer as I hadd someone watch it come off the trailer and no-one preped it until I arrived. Who ever drove it forgot to clear all the radio stations as well....I don't listen to rap.maybe they would like to pay 45K and get their own

75 miles? Damn.

My car was driven 13 miles.

Mine had 8 miles on it. That 75 miles is BS if you ask me. Especially if the presets had been re-arranged. I've heard of dealers driving them but someone at the assembly plant?? Really weird.

Mine had the same sticker, but it only logged 12.3 miles from the evaluation.

I've seen a few cars (not just Tauri) on different dealer lots that had those stickers but I've never seen one that had more than 20 miles on it.

IMNSHO, Ford should not allow a special order vehicle to be "randomly selected" as a test vehicle. Part of the reason most people order their car is so that no one else has driven it with the other major reason is to get it equipped the way they want it. I know both of these apply to me. There are plenty of dealer inventory cars they can choose from for quality control testing.

I sure hope mine isn't "selected/tested" or I will definitely have some issues with that come delivery time. Strange on how the SHOs seem to be selected so frequently for these "road tests". Probably not a coincidence.

I wonder what kind of "quality issue" 1500 SHOs could have to warrant such a hold? I also wonder about the nature of the quality issue, if it was properly correctable, and/or if the cars would still be sellable or what they would end up doing with them?

I really like this car so far so its hard to say anything negative.:dribble:

However I do see where who ever "test" drove my car for all those miles caused me some real customer satifaction problems.

Dealer is going to call factory rep as many items were not repaired correctly (stone chips and scratches in the paint. (Under the clear coat).:braincramp::nutty:

Toms.. that sucks. Glad you like your car.. but Ford needs to get their shit together on this. Why should YOU a special order customer have to suffer for their quality control and misc. crap damages? It is ********.

The closest one to me is over an hour away and there's over 4-million people in this area, and about a dozen ford dealers. The two who do have a SHO (yes, that's only one) say they don't do test drives on it until the paperwork is ready to be signed.

There is no logic in where these things end up, and with all the tire kickers (around here anyways) they keep them under wraps.

Thats hilarious.

My local dealer let me drive two SHOs, one Perf Pack and one Non Perf pack before I decided.

How do they expect to sell any if you dont let people test drive?

If it was a Ford GT or something like that, then of course.

My dealer actually pulled one out of the showroom for me to be able to test drive. Then again I have bought a car from them in the past.

No guys the dealer with everyone present only moved it from the transport to the prep bay (I was there a few minutes after it unloaded).

I have a photo of the sticker from the factory who took it for a joy ride. Tried to post it but the website keep rejecting it???

Drove the car for its first 4 hour round trip to Ohio and back this weekend. It was so good and the adaptive cruise works perfect. Many people on I75 pulling up to me to check it out. Family members could not believe how quiet and nice it road.

THe voice activated phone book is a joke it calls anyone and everyone except the one I say. Call Binkowski...Calls Mark Call Janet....calls Pit lane....Call Home...calls Paul....:snicker:

I hat that problem at first but I realized you need to speak VERY clearly for it to understand.

Regardless its a nifty feature. I like it a lot!

I bought mine off the showroom .. They had to move a 2011 F150 Raptor off the showroom floor so we could get the SHO out the door.

Came back from the test drive, and wouldn't let go of the keys. Dealer was a little upset when he found out it was a X-plan deal.

they had 3 on the lot and available when I called them that morning, but by the time I got there at 5:00, the other two were sold.
