2010 AWD system vs 2013 pp

I have a 2010 show and a 2013 performance pack SHO. My main question is if I get it pretty heavy acceleration in the rain I noticed that my 2013 is pretty stout with little to no spin of course with the traction control applied. But on the 2010 I’m almost like FWD until the traction control light flashes and then I assume that The AWD Kicks. IS That normal? Yes they have different tires and both sets are new. The 13 has high performance kenda.. the 2010 has a cheap tire

Tires are your final defense, and offense when talking about traction and control. So unless you narrow the variables down, it is hard to say. The only difference I am aware of theoretically is that in 2013+ (some of the MYs anyway) full power can be applied to the rear wheels for a fraction of a second at launch. If you watch the AWD gauge you will see.

It’s crazy though. My 2010 with aggressive throttle on wet pavement has a full 2 seconds or more of spin before it thinks about going forward lol. The 2013 feels like a locked AWD. It just goes flawlessly and even fishtails a little bit.

It does sound like the clutches are going bad in your RDU.

If you want to be sure. Swap tires between the cars and retest. As was posted above your only link to getting the power to the road is your tires.

I now spend money on good tires and run only Michelin Pilot Sport 4S tires. Expensive for sure.

Ok, way over my head not even know what a forscan is, but wouldnt mind trans temp, intercooler temp gauge and this awd gauge ha ha
