2009 East coast convention caravan

so anyone want to take part in a caravan up I-95 to the 2009 convention?

I'm probably one of the furthest south persons and its about a 1400 mile trip for me.... I plan on leaving saturday morning early or Friday night, still undecided....

I'm probably just gonna drive through, don't plan on any hotels on the way up there.... and arrive sometime middle day Sunday at the host hotel.....

Any other folks along the i-95 corridor plan on driving a SHO there on the weekend?

there might be a lot of SHO's going this route.... could make a nice caravan

Yes. Most definitely. I've been meaning to bring this up in the TSHOC forum. I'm thinking checkpoints along the way where people can make contact with the caravan and join in, say one or two in every state. Although all that stopping and waiting for people might make total trip time a little ridiculous for you deep south boys. Perhaps simplify the meet ups and have a mid-atlantic and a new yorkish area rendezvous. I already know the CapSHO folks are planning a caravan, perhaps the deep south caravan could get up with the TSHO/CapSHO group and 'van on up. As the SHO blob, or group of SHOs if you will, moves north it grows bigger and bigger as it heads further north. Just think, a train of about 50+ SHOs heading up 95, or two lanes of 25 each. Why go individually when there's safety (at least for my POS ) in numbers plus itlll be more of a special adventure occaision.

I'm driving out of St Louis Saturday, then leaving Sunday morning for the final 7 hour leg up 95. We will have at least 2 cars maybe more. I keep am eye on this thread, I'll know more later.

I am pretty sure most of the MD,DE, NJ (me) are going up 95.

We should have a meeting point so their is a massive amount of SHO cruising 95

I need a clutch disc, adj rear arms, alignment, probably tires by then and thats pretty much all the money Im gonna spend on it.....

I got so many new parts on this bitch I'm starting to run out of stuff to break......

If all else fails I'll probably rent a car... I been needing a vacation and never been to that area.... by then it'll be almost 2 years since Ive gone out of state....

I'd rather leave earlier and be there sunday mid day.... rather be there chilling then on the highway.... hopefully this works out for others..... would be pretty badass to have a good 20+ caravan going through NY......

My start point will be exit 89 (or mile marker) on I-95 in Maryland Sunday morning. (not sure of the time yet) There is a park-n-ride there but no gas or anything eles at that exit.

If the caravan is passing thru CT on I-95, Im literally like 5 mins. off the highway.... it could be a nice quick stop, bathroom break and beer stop...

Heres whats going to happen...the FSHOC will be caravanning up I95 before the convention and if Todd is in he will be the last car (the smoking one) so feel free to join us and pass him

Ill be driving up in late May. Ill be in RI/NY for the summer. I hope to make it for at least the track day. My son will only be a few months old so I doubt Ill be in for the whole shpeel.

It will be cool to take anther long roadtrip in a SHO. Good memories blasting up and down 95 in the ol SHO.
