Vehicle For Sale

Year: 1996
Make: Ford
Model: Taurus SHO
Miles: 178,***
VIN Number: 1FALP54N2TA241266
Price: $2,400
Location: Warrenville, IL
Trades: No

Modifications: The car is all factory aside from welding the cams to prevent failure.

Problems: Three codes popped up and made me fail emissions. I'm guessing it is due to the famous DPFE sensor for Fords, I do have one to install. The flex pipe is cracked so the car runs a bit loud. But in all honesty it sounds mean with the 3.4 V8. There are some body dents / rust and the leather is cracking on the seats.

Comments: Overall the car is perfect for a winter beater or just a cruiser. I really love the ride on this car. It is almost Caddy like. It shifts great all the way up to 7,000. The cams are welded, I do have proof, so there is no fear in engine failure. The tires are nearly new Continental ExtremeContact DWS. I replaced the rear brake lines and if I remember right the left rear caliper. Some of you might know the brake lines rust and burst, these are brand new Ford OEM lines that will last for years. It has a brand new alternator, not a reman one. Idler pulley and belt are new.

I really don't want to sell the car but I have no room to store it and the police are harassing me because it is parked on the street. The price is OBO. If you lead me to a direct sale, a portion of the final price will be tossed your way. It all depends on the amount the car is sold for. I'm looking for a quick sale as I'm not sure what to do with it for the winter. You are welcome to come take a look at it, test drive, start it...etc. Please PM me here or reply in the thread to set up a time to take a look at it. If you know someone who might buy this car, have them contact me at email 1996shoforsale AT gmail DOT com . Thank you.

Welded cams....it's definitely worth something. How bad is the rust? That's the next thing most people want to now.

The rust is not taking over the car, but each panel has a spot. I'd say it has a "normal" amount for the car being used in the rust belt. Nothing that affects the driveability of the car. I can get pictures but the car is no longer at my house. The police were giving me too much trouble, so pictures might be a few days away.

SHO Trader is the place to sell a whole car, running or not.
The donation for a Trader section ad is $10.
An ad's life-span is 1 year from the original post date however the classified sections are pruned periodically now based on last post dates. If your ad has not been posted in for 3 months it will be considered non-active and it will be pruned. If a post is pruned due to non-activity you will need to donate again to re-list the car so keep your ad current! A bump post by the seller 1 time per 7 days is acceptable, but no more.

I don't mean to be stingy but It would be nice if you followed the bump rules. I have a car on here for sale too.
