I recently purchased a 1994 SHO thats in beautiful shape with 90K miles on it.Things I am considering doing. I would appreciate any feedback as to whether or not you other SHO owners think it's a good idea. I do not want to reinvent the wheel!

1) Change to synthetic oil
2) Flush transmission
3) Change air intake set up, not sure which is best way to go, whats the best looking that will also improve performance
4) Jet performance module?????
5) 225-55-16's on factory rims

Any other suggestions would be appreciated!

Mike

Is it an ATX (auto) or MTX(man)?

1- that's up to you.
2-wouldn't hurt
3-Uh, no. do a search on "CAI".. you'll see why and what to do.
4-simply no.. (over the counter chips are a waste of money-unless tuned on the dyno then re-burned)
5- that's a popular size tire that alot (mysefl included) of members run.

If the car is a MTX, start with a highflow y-pipe first. (best bang for the buck).
If the car is an ATX, just keep up with the maintanance...

But one thing never to forget... Maintanance first. Mods can wait.

Check out www.shobrosgarage.com

Another thing.. These cars love suspension mods... And you would be suprised how big of a smile they can put on your face with a few upgrades.

IMO, I would just keep the car in good stock form, and mod the suspension.
Aside from a few bolt on's(UDP's, P&P intake/BBB's) the ATX will really never show it's good side unless you re-build/ build/shift kit the tranny... or swap in a MTX.

#4 - Your best bet is to buy a Tweecer (www.tweecer.com) , But usually members buy this only when your SHO is heavily modded. Many other things to do before that , that will give you more bang for the buck.

Why is this in the "Tuning ~ Supercharger ~ Turbo ~ Nitrous Upgrades"?

1) I run synthetic, you can if you'd like.
2) Probably a good idea as that is probably going to fail first.
3) Not worth the money. Keep a clean paper filter in and remove the "horn" and you'll retain the STOCK cold air intake
4) Simply no. If you're going to get any kind of chip, search up on "LPM" on this forum. The TwEECer is probably not for you.
5) As posted above, it's a VERY common size that SHO owners run.
