But can the stock maf be ran in a blow thru setup?
Damn that's a ****** turbo! What type of tuning are you going to be using?
As long as the turbo doesn't leak oil I don't see why not, if it leaks oil though you'll foul it. I would recommend a blow through as close to the throttle body as possible so that way there's minimal lag and the AFR's stay accurate. You'll definitely want to upgrade to an 80mm though.
So did you just cut the stock y-pipe apart and weld the flanges to a bunch of pre bent exhaust pieces? I've been building up my car to support a turbo and I've been trying to figure out how to construct the y-pipe without a pipe bender.
Im not sure about tuning yet. Wondering if a fmu will get me by while im at 3psi for the moment.
Yea the ypipe i just went to carquest and picked up a few mandrel bends and save the original collectors and welded them on. Scrapped my old cars which almost paid for the ypipe.
Love the Mark Vii!
So far you build is looking good! The MAF will likely work for 3 psi. Anything much past i think 5 to maybe 10 you will need to start looking around for a different MAF since ours is rather small and the curve is maxed out rather quickly when running boost. A lot of people use the 80mm Mark VIII MAF or a Lighting MAF
Obd 1 mark 8 maf or obd 2?
ODB 1 93-95. All marks, base and LSC.
