Hi everyone,
I am a newbie here, so bear with me if I ask something I didn't see in a search. I have a 1994 with an ATX and is leaking a fair amount of tranny fluid. It is coming from the radiator side of the transmission. I have gotten under and checked the hoses (like i saw recommended in some previous posts), and it appears to me that it is coming from the upper hose, but I am not certain.
I did notice a little plastic piece around the hose where it goes inside the transmission and it is split and spread open, but still attached from within the bolt. So my question is this, is that normal? should that plastic bushing (for lack of that actual term) be solid around the tranny line? Maybe someone has a picture of what that should look like. The reason I am confused is the very bottom hose looks the same way and I can't tell if that is whats wrong.
Also, if anyone has any good trouble shooting suggestions, I would be open to those as well.
Thanks,
