1994 ATX electrical? issues?

I recently bought a 94 ATX and am having a couple issues out of it.

When the car is warm the transmission has a shimmy to it. I believe it is electrical because the dash lights sort of flicker when the car is running at night. I believe this may be a fluxuation in voltage which is causing the "shimmy" effect I'm describing.

Can you describe the shimmy more?

My regular taurus had the same problem last year, turned out, it needed a tranny flush with new fluid. Been fine ever since.
