1993 transmission

can anyone tell me if a 1993 sho uses a automatic transmissions built for the sho only or if it can be replaced by one out of a regular taurus,

SHO only.
It is also preffered to use the later 94-95 version and torque converter.
It has several advantages over the 93 year.
A 94-95 PCM (engine computer) is also preferred for it's updated programming.

The 95's are the best if you can find one as the forward clutch piston is made of steel instead of the 94 and older that used aluminum and fail earlier.
