Selling my 1993 MTX. Moved to Colorado for work and a change but was unable to bring my car.

Here is the good and the bad:

Engine:
-Front 60k (2009)
-Heads cleaned, inspected, valve stem seals replaced
-Rod Bearings replaced
-Needs top 60k (this was my next project after towing to CO)
-New main radiator hoses and Sparco Heater Hoses
-New starter, alternator and battery since 2010
-New stock front motor mount

Transmission:
-New Sachs clutch (less than 2k ago) and throw out bearing

Exhaust:
-All stock, some blow by starting at stock resonator.

Suspension:
-Moog springs/kyb gt-2 struts
-Control arms/ball joints replaced
-Rear strut rod/bushings(poly)
-Rear sway bar bushings(poly)
-Ingalls adjustable Front Strut Mounts (see 1 below)

Fuel:
-New filter

Wheels/Brakes:
-Stock brakes w/ newer(turned once) rotors and good quality pads
-Stock slicers stripped and painted silver (including lug nut covers)-some chipping starting but not bad
-New Proxxie 4 tires with less than 3k on them

Exterior/Body:
-Silver with normal hood chipping.
-Rub mark on drivers side bumper (very minimal, been there since I bought it)
1 and only rust spot starting under paint over drivers rear taillight (size of a quarter)
-Only minor surface rust on subframe…could use a coat of paint.
-SHO banner across top of windshield
-Windows tinted dark, like 15% I think. Some bubbling but nothing terrible.
-Fishbowl mod and independent fog light mod.
-Fog lights work but right side connector needs to be cleaned or replaced (at fog light itself-car side) has PIAA bulbs in there.
-New headlights and clear corners
-Powered by Yamaha badges instead of Ford badges

Interior:
-Front leather chewed up some-drivers’ seat the worst.
-Drivers’ power seat control plastic all broken (since I got it) motor or switch iffy only for moving the seat forward, all other operations work
-LED lights throughout—all blue minus the 2 overhead push on/off lights, those are white. Trunk is white.
-Dash lighting to blue conversion 90% complete. Clock and EATC are green still.
-Switch LEDs all blue
-Single disk head unit with wiring set up for Sirius(all there minus a radio), iPod cable run from deck to inside center console with holder for iPod.
-Second din holds coin tray/cup holder. Cup holder half needs a spring
-A/C inop atm—worked last summer but not this year, think it needs to be recharged.
-Heater works great.
-Hard button EATC

Known Issues:
1 Installed Ingalls Adjustable Front Strut mounts. Since then there is noticeable “memory steer” i.e. take a left hand turn and the cars pulls a bit to the left and vice versa. Also sounds like the plastic bearing in the struts rub. Drives fine but haven’t had the time to really troubleshoot the issue there. Did this to get proper geometry for an alignment.

2 A/C not coming on or wanting to take a charge. Worked last summer like a champ-really cold. Again, this was on my list of things to work on.

3 Minor exhaust leak at the resonator-easy fix

4 Top 60k needed pretty quickly. Was the first thing I was tackling once I pulled her off the trailer.

5 Interior blue lighting—I know this is a personal touch but the blue really goes good with the silver. All lights can easily be swapped back to white—LED or normal.

6 Speedo needle “bounces” while driving. Has a newer VSS and lubed cable so maybe the indicator itself? The bouncing comes and goes so also maybe the VSS is crapping out??

Price $3000 firm. She is a solid DD, clean body with almost zero rust. Just needs someone with the time and a little $$ to finish what needs to be done. All these projects seem half complete because they are, I had full intention of bringing this car with me to CO until the day I put it on the uhaul trailer and my Broncos’ tired suspension couldn’t handle the weight. It is with my best friend in Bremerton,WA, who is an ASE certified mechanic(might be able to fix A/C if he has time) and has had his hand in working on this car since day one. He knows just as much about it as I do and has all the required paperwork to make the sale. Please ask any questions and requests for pictures will take a day since he works full time.
