1992 SHO exhaust system leaking/very noisy

So yeah my 1992 SHO is getting pretty noisy now. I know there is an exhaust leak coming from it. Now the sound is much more intense near the front of the vehicle so where is the possible spots where things can break, rust out or wear out? Also where is the best place to get new exhaust for my gal? I am going to do a full from the engine manifolds back system. I take it getting new manifolds or headders for these cars is pretty much impossible/extremely hard?

I had a leak on my 92 where the Y-pipe met the flex joint. I needed a new donut gasket. I have only seen new exhaust manifolds for the ATX cars (on ebay), not sure if they are the same as the MTX. There was a NOS Borla set up on ebay a year or so ago. I am pretty sure Shosource doesn't have any. Unless there is an old Dynomax exhaust setup somewhere, I would try finding someone selling an old Shosouce or Borla system. They are both stainless steel.

Pinpoint the leak first and go from there. Options are few. There are a few (very few) y-pipes and catback options out there. Agree with zoom above. if the metal is't compromised the most likely places to leak are the donut gasket and the little flex pipe. If you have a crack or hole somewhere you can just replace that part or if you have the $ you can do the whole thing.

+1 for leaking at the graphite gasket at the joint between the catback and the y-pipe. I replaced both the spring bolts (Walker 36129) and the graphite gasket (Walker 31372). Torque the bolts on in stages so you don't rock the gasket too much during installation. My '94 has a Sho-Shop Y-Pipe and I had to take the ol' grinder to one of the bolts so it wouldn't pierce into the y-pipe.

If this car has EGR (which I doubt), bellows split in the EGR tube near the manifold.

ATX manifolds and Y pipes are different because the engine sits 2" further forward on the ATX to make room for the transmission. No HP gain to make headers worthwhile. MTX Y pipes from SHO Source.

A great way to find an exhaust leak (and produce a LOT of smoke) is to disconnect the evaporative vapor hose at the throttle body and hook up a suitable hose and small funnel to ssssllllloooowwwllllyyy pour about 1/2 can of Seafoam engine treatment. It will clean the intake manifold, valves and combustion chamber while producing a smoke cloud... You'll have no problem finding the leak (and you'll probably stall out the engine several times too.)
