Alright, my friend (DrPhang) has a 1991 SHO and it seems to not be getting as much power as it should on the high end when the secondaries open up. We tried racing a couple of times both from a roll and from a stop and we are pretty decent drivers and my 1998 just pulls 3 or so car lengths on him by the time we get to 50mph. What the **** gives?

We have cleaned the throttle body and that seemed to help a little on the low end and idle seemed to smooth out a little bit. No he has not had a 60K done (at least not to our knowledge), he really just got the car and knows noone in the VA area or close that could do it. Even w/o the 60K done there still shouldn't be that much of a lack of performance?!?!?!?

The car is by no means slow but it doesn't have the performance it should. Low end seems to be good. Any ideas?

Check for a clogged converter(s). I've seen this happen on more than a few SHO's that don't get regular check-ups.

In fact my 93 was misfiring so bad when I bought it, the cats were not only totally trashed, they had actually managed to completely clog the catback tubing/mufflers w/ pieces.

My black 89 had a clogged y when I bought it, had good low end, fell flat on it's face @ 5.5k. I tossed on a good stock y and it felt like it picked up 40 hp @ 7000 rpm. Front cat was the clogged one, got so hot it melted the closest strut rod bushing on the subframe
