1991 Cable Shifter Diagram

Greetings,

New first-time SHO owner. The car has a hard time getting into first gear. The cable shifter appears to have been modified somehow - previous owner replaced the cables right before I bought the car. Anyone have pictures or assembly diagrams for the cable shifter showing the appropriate bushings and assembly?

If you're having shifting problems many people like to upgrade the cable shifters to a rod shift setup instead of just replacing the cable. You can get these from any genII SHO. The beneifit is that a cable wears out and has loose or "sloppy" shifts if you suspect that the cable is bad it might just be better to upgrade while you're down there and put in the rods.
