Hello all,
So I have a 1990 and id like to put in a double din stereo, but the stock stereo is much larger. I'm not sure how many stereo options ford offered for the first gens, but there is a am/fm reciever, and a cd player below it. Is there a spacer kit you can buy that will allow a double din stereo to fit in? Anyone done this?

the stock stereo is a single DIN size, and the cd player is also single DIN, so you should be able to slip a double DIN right in there. There are mounting kits, places like CarToys and Crutchfield and BestBuy all have them.

Thanks for the replies :) The picture really helps as well. I'll check out those websites. I've also never heard the Ford premium sound system with the JBL speakers (My car has this setup, however the silver amp that the stock stereo plugs into is missing, and I can't get the main amplifier to even power on). Are those stock speakers any good, or at least good enough to properly compliment a 12" sub in the back without distorting?
