I wish I'd have bought yours instead of mine. I thought mine was the "needs almost nothing" car. Most SHOs aren't. Looks like you fully went through that car and re-did it; now it's ready to collect and enjoy. I was in York, PA yesterday working too...not too far from you. Very nice car.

When you have time can you get pictures of the spot's you said were starting to bubble up with rust? And The lower inside door and trunk lip.
Im trying to decide if I want a Gen 1 or another Gen 2 and yours is winning at the momment.

You got it.
There is no rust thru.
The worst is here, a usual spot.

A southern car may be rust free but it dries the seam sealer.
Thus when brought north, the rust starts at the cracked areas.
Here are pics showing no rust areas.
The rear passenger jam.

Also note the cracked passenger tail lamp and scratches above it.
100_0543.jpg

The rear window moulding has a chuck out of it.
100_0546.jpg

The windshield has a crack but out of the field of vision.
It passes inspection and the car will be sold with a fresh inspection of 05/09.
100_0506.jpg

The dash has several cracks.
I will include a carpet dash cover.
Remember the effects of a southern car.

I can repair any issue for you.
But remember the price will be added to the car.
As I dismantel the car, these items are easily addressed.
I have a great body shop within walking distance.
They did bodywork and repainted my 68 Cougar.
For instance the door cladding strips can be repaired since I will be removing the cladding.
I can have the windshield replaced as well as the dash (but I'll need a donor dash).

The suspension is stock and rides well.
No suspension noises, no rear upper strut clunking.

Between yesterday and today I detailed the door jambs and trunk jamb.
Waxed the top surfaces.
Removed the door cladding and skirting.
I'm also addressing the door and trunk lid surface rust.

I attended my sons court date today.
He's going in a home for the next 6 months.
If he doesn't straighten up it will be another 6 months.
I'm feeling especially low in spirit.
Hopefully a good nights sleep will be a cure all.
Otherwise, I'm unsure when I'll continue working on the car.
