Depending on your budget for this you may have to look into maybe repairing the no illumination one? How? Don't know but there are electronics whiz folks who can do that sort of thing.
I am losing reception in the 91. Ruled out the antenna by swapping them out. If this place fixes the 89 radio, I will send them the 91. If they cant, I will try southern radio.I had been gradually losing reception on my current 89, acts as if the antenna connection isn't good. I now have virtually no reception from the tuner, but the cassette works fine. I figured that it was an issue in the antenna circuit. Never had the issue with it in prior SHOs.
"United Radio" is who Ford uses now. I have to send in 3 or 4 radios a week for repair. Warranty and customer pay both get sent to the same place. They also do cluster repairs. Old and new. I can get you address and contact info tomorrow if you like.
Thanks, got it. I will be sending it in. Just got a call from the place I sent it to, could not repair it. Sending it back to me.I'll PM you tomorrow.
