I'm planning on lowering my SHO as soon as i can afford it, going with the eiback springs for mild lowering and a good ride, and cause i wanna have room to clear 18's. on that note, 18's that fit this car have been a pain in my a$$ to find, i found some but at $500+ a piece i don't think so. anybody know where i can find some "affordable" 18's for my 93 sho?

Try either www.tires.com or www.tirerack.com for your best deals on rims. Try for a 18x7.5 or 18x8. Any larger and the wheels stick out the front fenders.

You can run a 245/40/18 tire (largest) with the following specs:

5x108mm bolt pattern
40mm offset

You will have to do a little fender trimming in the rear, the 2nd Gen SHOs (92-95) are a little more forgiving on the rear regarding tire rubbing.

Here's mine with "nice" Team Dynamics Motorsports 18"x8" rims with a 40mm offset and 235/40/18 tires, I would also recommend the 245mm in for the extra "meat" on the ground.

Tom one thing I will have to disagree with is that nothing past 8" wide will stay in upfront, i've had up to 19"x9" with 235/35/19 tires and the "right" offset, they fit flush just like my current setup. I just never got to drive them because I just swapped them quick at a friends shop. Next time I do so i'll make sure to take pictures, it looks sick with 19's and my drop.

BTW 93shoboy my whole package with Pirelli tires, locks, mounting, etc. was $1978, I paid about $240 per rim.

500 a piece? eek! eek!

Wow, that's expensive. There are deals to be found if you are pretty patient. I got my rims and tires for about $750 (slightly used tires - New rims). But you can find some pretty good deals if you just wait.

Lol yea I just hope the springs dont go on me anytime soon.

The $500 a piece is a lot unless he was shopping for forged 18" rims, any cast 18" rims shouldnt be more than $250-$300, unless we are talking chrome 18's.

I have 18" Antera 309's on my 95 ATX. I have no idea how much they cost here since I bought them in europe. Here's some pics. They are 18 x 8 35mm offset. I also added a pair of 20mm spacers for the rear ( a little expensive at $130, but they look great). I'm running 225/40/18's. They're a little shorter than stock. I had to roll and trim the rear fenders.

Why 20mm spacers??? An 8" wide wheel with a 35mm offset already sticks out about as far as you should go, or as far as I would want to go. Does that put the edge of the tire out past the fender or just even with it?

You guy's have it sooooooo good. Here in the midwest, A.K.A. the salt and rust capitol of the world, it seems that cars are forbidden to look that good.

From what I can imagine he wanted the rear wheels to match up flush with the fenders just like the front does already. My 18x8's do this upfront as well with a 40mm offset, except my rear tucks in a little more because it is mounted stock with no spacers.
