Hmmm there were three times as many pictures from that meet in my photobucket album, now they're gone - weird. Oh well, guess that's the only picture I have now :(

Had 18s on my '97 with 235/40ZR18 tires. Rode rough as crap. Probably had to do with the low profile tire and Rousch lowering springs. Looked sweet though.

The reason I moved back to the OEM wheels and tire size was because of ride quality. The suspension was not designed to be able to compensate for the lack of compliance in modern, very low sidewall tires with their extreme stiffness, particularly when combining that with other suspension modifications that provide more stiffness elsewhere in the suspension and frame.

Yeah, I don't know why in the world I put "probably" in my post. I have over a decade in automotive modifying, especially in the suspension department. It should have read "It has to do with the lo-pro tires and lowering kit"....:banghd: You are absolutely right Stephen.

You still have these rims?

Nope, last I remember reading James (St Louis SHO) had them for sale but that's been a long time ago.

^ I recall James selling them. Do not recall the buyer's name.

Rubix, you don't happen to remember how the 5x114.3mm bolt pattern conversion was done on that car do you?

I had 18's on my 96 SHO but I have been running 19x8 TSW Jarama's with Toyo 225/40/19's and 255/35/19's for awhile now. They fit well and it rides and handles great. I have the room in the rear so I am ordering 19x9.5's for the rear with the same offset which is +40. I am trimming out the rear lips to accommodate because I want that flush look. It's almost there now since I have 1/8" spacers on the rear. I do have 1/2" billet adapters but still need to finish trimming to use them which is a bear to do since the rear lips are double layered steel. You do have to be careful with *** holes with 19's because you will bend the rims.

How do I post a picture?
You know the profile of the tire is not always the reason for a rough ride. Example; I had a Supercharged Grand Prix GTP. I has the factory 16's with 55 series tire and it road fine. I then put on 18's with a 45 series tire and it road like crap but I decided to then put on a brand new set of 20 inch Boyd Coddingtons with a 35 series tire and it road beautifully. It really depends on the quality of the tire itself. The right brand and series of tire is the key.
