I recently purchased a 92 sho mtx. 1 owner car. The 63 year old guy bought the sho new and Im not sure what hes replaced on the car. I filled up maybe 2 weeks ago though and I got roughly 400 miles with about 19 gallons. so i figure i got about 20mpg. I usually shift around
3k rpms. Although on occasion I like to have fun and rev her up and go fast. But when I filled up last week I only got less than 300 miles with a tank. I felt like i drove pretty much the same, mostly city/45 mph zones. What should be on the top of my list to replace to get better mpg???? by the way im a broke college kid so less money=better :).

Your cel light doesn't need to be on to have codes. Go to shophoenixproject.com to see how to pull codes.

87 octane is just fine. Here is my list of things to replace, in this order...

1.Fuel Filter
2. Intake (K&N panel filter) also, it dosn't hurt to pull the cone out of the fender well.
3. plugs and wires
4. Y-pipe WITH 02 sensors.

That should give you a decent start w/o spending too much doh.:)
