Ok, I got this mess of an '92 MTX SHO, with 144K+ from a little ol' lady lol.(true story)
The idle sometimes drops below 500rpm(once in a while it stalls)and the oil light comes on.
I checked the easy spark plugs, and guess what? yep, oil in the sleeves.
The middle one(cyl) had the most.
Plugs have been in for 50K+.
The car ran decent, except for an intermittant rpm drop.
I have to sell the car, once it is good to go.
What am I looking at for parts? gaskets and seals, plugs and now wires(due to pulling the boot off the connector on #1)
I have a mechanic pal to help me if necessary.
What would you replace?
I looked through many threads, and searched.
I have had the car a couple of months, and I have to say it is nearly as much fun to drive, as my Trilogized Marauder!:naughty:
Oh Yeah, thanks for all the info here!
I thought, when I saw the oil in the spark plug holes, this was terminal.

oil in the plug wells is not terminal. Sounds like the ol' gal just needs some TLC.

Probably needs 60k/120k, rod bearings and temp sensors changed.

Get the maint. done and she'll be even more fun to drive.
