What pids do you monitor daily?

I think u will get a mix on answers here. Mine is based off past failures so I keep my coolant temp on (I had an over heating issue that ended up being the water pump), boost level or percentage (my hot pipes had cracks in them and started loosing boost), IAT’s to make me feel my intercooler was worth the investment lol. I’m sure most people run other things but I keep those on because of my previous failing points. Trans temp isn’t a bad one to display either. Tbh I don’t know if u can show it on the Taurus but in my Pontiac it does but I’ve also had to rebuild the trans so after I monitor it like a hawk. If you have a lot of mods to the car I would display what shows u those mods are working effectively or learn toward safety and watch everything that would be of high concern when driving.

In addition to the temp gauge on my 2019, I monitor "boost", "a/f ratio," "battery voltage," and "rail fuel pressure," using my Aero Force guages.

I use FORScan Lite on an old android phone. Stock engine, no tune. On the PCM, I monitor engine temp, trans temp, PTU temp (only on a PP), low cooling fan, high cooling fan, A/C high side, low pressure fuel desired, low pressure fuel actual, turbo boost desired (starts at 14.7 lbs @sea level), high pressure fuel desired, high pressure fuel actual, turbo boost actual, battery, oil life, and RDU engagement (it engages much than you would think). Also, intake timing desired, intake bank 1 actual and intake bank 2 actual but, I have to scroll the screen to see.

On the OBD screen I monitor fuel trims and inferred catalyst temp among others.

There are many more PIDs that could be monitored but, this fills the screen nicely.

BTW folks, greatest use for old tech you got laying around, some old ipad or old android tablet... turn it into a gauge readout, and get yourself a mount.
I 100% agree. I had to do that with my 01 excursion for the longest time so I'm already a little familiar with forscan. Lots of great recommendations from every one! Thanks guys!

I'll add monitor tire pressure of each tire. You can wait until things dip below 27lbs or if a sensor fails for the car to warn ya, but I like to know before they get below 30lbs. Especially in the Summer to Winter transition timeframes.
Depending on your tire/rim choice this may be more or less of a concern.

With FORScan Lite I monitor tire pressure, battery age, state of charge and battery temp in the BCM.

Fill them with nitrogen, little more expensive but it’s not affected by temperature

Hahaha, I’m satisfied with the 78% nitrogen pumped in for free.
so its not the nitrogen its the water vapor that destroys the tires on the inside. I love the nitrogen discussion. generally with nitrogen service is the lack of water which is the most important. its the oxidation that can cause even more damage inside, and why 100% dry nitrogen is better. the misunderstood part is that oxygen and water cause oxidation of the rubber compounds, but by that time you will be buying new tires lol.

I did it when I lived in cold ass weather to keep from having to pump them up during snow days, also it’s slightly lighter for those wanting to save a lb to chase that record time.

I have but not installed a FuelIT Bluetooth and the XDI ECA Provisions KitThis is required if you plan to run an ethanol sensor (Comes with new fuel line & fitting to make everything plug and play) *No sensor included*

does it fit perfectly and just work got me... I have been working on my home lab recently and was hoping to maybe size it all out on my car this winter. maybe while I am off during xmas

I did get a the way here see attached, BTW don't. email them they won't help I tried. they even say so on the site. what I will need from you... if it all hooks up as easy as said. might even call and talk direct. I will also say I kind of went a bit crazy and ordered a bunch of 5/16 to 3/8 since I had a FCK of a time getting accurate connections from the in tank low pressure line size on the strut tower/firewall to know. I dont have the tools or the confidence to make my own fuel lines and XDI is great at saying everything just plug and play but no videos I found. and fuel it offer zero fcks
