Has anyone with a '13 or newer plasti dipped the chrome on their grill?

Any tips on completing the project? I am thinking about just taping as if I were painting the traditional method as I do not see how to do the normal plasti dip application with the peel and it cutting in the gaps.

I stuck tape into the gaps and folded it down, for the mesh I covered the whole thing but left an 1/8" around the chrome trim. I put 5 coats on and here is the result.

I went for it yesterday and covered the entire grill with tape up to the trim. That caused a problem and I have a couple spots that came up when I removed the tape. I am thinking about spraying the entire grill now to avoid the issue. Overall it looks really good but I have OCD and just knowing there is a spot that is not perfect makes me anxious...

Any chance you know how to remove the piece under the hood and above the radiator. I removed the four bolts and seven screws but there are two rivets as well and I was not sure how to remove them and was not in the mood to break something. I would need to remove that in order spray the entire grill so I can cover the radiator.

Your car looks great as well!

Without being in front of my car, I want to say they are the two piece rivets where you take a small screwdriver and pop the center up and then pull the entire piece out. If it is taped right on the edge of what your plasti dipping it will stick to the tape and pull up as you mentioned. That's why left that small 1/8" of gap so It would leave a perfectly clean line.

X 2 on the OCD!!!
