Just got a letter parts are available.

Now dont go shooting the messenger if your dealership doesn't have parts....

I just got the letter today also. Calling the stealer tomorrow and see what they say, I'll post here their answer...

Just called dealer and they're getting me in this Friday morning - parts are there, they confirmed with parts department. I don't think I need to worry about my tune on the car and going to risk it - keeping it tuned and not flashing back to stock - don't see any reason they would mess around with the ECU, etc...

You are corect. This isn't warranty work, it's a safety recall.

Going in next Thursday. Service Manager said they would have to do a rear wheel alignment afterwards. Should I insist they do a 4 wheel alignment or will the front not be an issue? My thought was if they adjust the rear alignment it could throw the front out of spec.
Looking for some advice.
Thanks

I checked my 2015 VIN on Ford's website and it is not in the recall. Not sure why.

They are only saying 13-18 SHO's that are PP equipped.
FordTechMakuloco on you tube says that ALL SHOs used the same part. PP should not matter but my 2015 non-PP VIN is not included in the recall. Maybe Ford is only concerned about cars that might be tracked?

Dropping my PP off this evening for the recall work. I am also going to look at an Explorer ST, I may just trade. My wife is not pleased about this potential outcome. Idk...any opinions?

I would ask for a full alignment. Remember all wheels are applying driving force to the pavement.

Just got my 2014 PP back from dealer that made the recall repair. You all are welcome to make fun of me because I am completely ignorant to what these links do - but the car feels more solid when I drove it home. Maybe Placebo Effect. Dealer said all they had to do was the Toe Alignment. Everything looked good and drove great.

PS. I got close to trading her in on the spot - the show floor had a new F-150 in silver, huge gloss black wheels with off-road terrain tires, aftermarket tails, fender flares, etc- it was bad ass!!!! but at $58,000..... not too sure...

The outcome of me having a car payment again.
I drove the ST. It was super neat, to say the least.
However i went with the happy wife option.

I had not heard about this one. I drove a Sport when I bought my SHO and I really liked it, but this one sounds awesome....might just be my next vehicle (but considering the fact that I never leave the house right now, that won't be anytime soon).

Went to Ford yesterday. They said they couldn't get my SHO in until 11/25. Left and went to the Lincoln dealership down the street, left it there last night and it should be done today. All the Lincoln guys were like....thats a Taurus! Lol.
