I've had these for 6 years now (purchased from SHOSource).
I have a real grinding noise in the right front. So I took it apart this AM and it appears the rear piston is not functioning like the front one. If I put a clamp on the good one the faulty one works. But is hard to push back.
If I leave both pistons unclamped the working one comes out easily. The faulty one only works if the working one is clamped.
And this was after I hit it with penetrating oil.
As soon as I put everything back together it still does it. No improvement.
I did have a brake failure a while back where I blew a brake line in the rear.
Is it possible I have air in the one piston? Or when the repairs was made to the ruptured line that some old dirty fluid got in the front ones? I don't think the whole thing got flushed.
Or is it simply seized and I need a new caliper.
Or is there a kit to repair pistons?
