Found the ONE (1) "Royal Blue" 1996 SHO that was produced. Some lady in Chattanooga, TN had it and it was wrecked in 2003, and went to auction in 2004

When we check the report, it isn't clear if he still rolling for a rental fleet or if it was scrapped.

I don't understand why doesn't make more SHO with this color.

The report shows that from 2000-2003 it was privately owned in Tennessee

Ok but after this time and accident occured (sept. 20 2003) and the mention "AUCTION ANNOUNCED AS FLEET/LEASE" appears in 2004.

oh yeah.

need to find this car. or as many parts are left of it and restore it back to the one and only.

Love that color. Seen SLO's done up with SHO body part and then painted that color. Also seen an indigo version posted a few years back. Clearly a repaint, but didn't hurt the eyes, IMO.

I wouldn't doubt it's been crushed by now :(

Why Ford made a only blue one in the middle of the production ? What a mystery... Someone had a good contact at Ford maybe.

One of the codes in the car's information from my source at Ford meant that it was a Ford company vehicle for one month in Dearborn, used for things like car shows or even just transportation of officials, there's no telling what it was for.

Interesting, if you can have the district code on the door sticker it will be useful. I suspect it will be RC 89 for "Transportation Service" like the first batch of Rose mist (7-8).

Now we have an idea what is the fonction associated to the RC 89 code. It's like a taxi for Ford employees only sometime.

Somebody needs to body slam whoever was driving the car when it was wrecked. A gem like that is supposed to be kept in AC'd storage and driven very seldom with a few bottles of Sta-bil on a nearby shelf. Can you imagine what something like that in near mint condition would have fetched on Barrett-Jackson in 15 or 20 years?!
